Time for Good- bye.

The new 2008-2009 Idea Book and Catalogue is on its way and to make way for all the new stamps and accessories in the new catalogue we must say goodbye to some of our current stamp sets and accessories.
You can view the total list on my website. Items shown in red are no longer available, items shown in orange are getting low in stock.
There is quite a lot on the retired list and I will update it regularly to let you know what is running low. All items on the retired list are available only while stocks last and some items have already sold out.
If you are interested in any of the retired items, you will need contact me so I can order them for you. Remember once they sell out, that will be it and everything on the list will no longer be available to purchase after the 31st March. Don't regret not getting that must have set or accessory.

How does it work???????
How can you get involved in the Super Special Event????
We need at least 10 Participants in this Event. Each one is required to place a $100 order. You can place the order for yourself or share it with a friend, the choice is yours. Remember when you place $100 order you get to choose a SAB set free.
Orders and payments must be to me by the 20 January to be included. Payment can be Cash, Direct Deposit or Credit Card
Now the Super Special part!!!!!
All participants will receive extra goodies with their orders Goodies listed here are based on 10 orders of $100. Prizes will increase or decrease, depending on how many participants we have. I will confirm with all participants prior to the order being placed what they have gained.
On the 20th all participants names will be placed in a hat and I will get my great name drawer (Sarah) to draw tames to go with the goodies listed.

Finally a couple of cards. They are both using a Split coast Stampers sketch challenge #5. Sketch challenges give you a layout for a card and you then interpret that to your ideas.

This one used Cool Caribbean, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Real Red Card stocks. Stamps are Flannel Plaid, and the SAB sets Lots of Thoughts & Merci. Inks used are Real Red, Cool Caribbean and Versamark.

This one is using a Summer mini Catalogue stamp set Bud Basics and the matching Stampin' Around jumbo wheel Basic Outline. These two were part of Sarah's Christmas present. She went through the catalouge and gave me a wish list of stamps she would like. She was kind enough to let me use this set to make this card.

I used Summer Sun, Tempting Turquiose and Real Red cardstock and Pixie Pink, Pink Passion and Tempting Turquiose Inks.

After Christmas

Before we go too far past the Christmas season, I thought I would share the two Christmas cards I made this year.

The first was the one I did for Sarah to give to her friends.

She loved the Gingerbread man when I used it in my Stamp a Lot classes. So I sponged the window and then stamped the men peaking through the window. The stamp set is Hung up on Christmas and gingerbread man was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and the window was sponged with Bashful Blue. The cardstock is Confetti Cream.

The second was one we used as our family card.

The stamp set was Solemn Stillness. I cut a circle from photocopy paper and used that as the template to sponge the window in Brocade Blue. I inked the solid tree in Always Artichoke and stamped the first image off. (after the first card I stamped the first inked tree on the previous card) I then stamped this within the circle a couple of times. I inked the tree up again and removed the paper and stamped the whole tree. The outline is stamped in Gold Encore and embossed with Detail Gold Embossing Powder. Card stock I used is Confetti White.

We had a good Christmas, we thought Glen would be working early on Christmas Day (Train Drivers don't have many Public Holidays off) But we were lucky he was rostered off, which was a great present for us as we spend the day with both families. Santa was very good to me and brought me a new digital camera with a zoom and I have been having a fun time learning how to use it and marvel at what it can do.

What I have been doing.

It has been a really busy last couple of months for me and I have been missing in action from this blog that long. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and tomorrow is the last day of 2007, I wish all my reader a happy 2008.

This is one of the projects I have been busy with during the last months.

Sarah had two grade teachers this year, and her Special Ed Unit teacher so instead of the usual chocolates or coffee mugs I decided to make them each a card organiser. I found instructions on Splitcoast stampers for these and made them and the cards that were inside them.

The lunchbox one was for our Head of Special Ed who retired at the end of school. Sharon had been really supportive of Sarah, Glen & I and we wanted to do something nice for her. Glen actually helped with the cards that went into Sharon's tin with a couple of pyography cards.

I put a variety of cards into these and I will upload a few of the different ones over the next few days.

My other big project I have been involved in has been relooking at my website and I am in the middle of changing it to a different look and hopefully a easier to navigate. So check that out in the new year and let me know what you think.
